Hello everyone! My name is Yvonne and I'm happy to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 30 years old and I'm in my final year of the Management & Media (MM) program at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. I am here as an exchange student and am excited to be able to do a five-month internship at DEXLab, where I am doing research for my Master's thesis.
My project is about comparing consumer and purchasing behavior in online retail, especially with the integration of augmented reality, with traditional shopping in local stores. I am fortunate that DEXLab offers access to cutting-edge technology, which greatly enhances my research opportunities.
As an officer in the German Armed Forces, I would like to make an important contribution to DEXLab. I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead and to growing professionally and personally during my time in Maastricht.
Outside of work, I am passionate about running and walking. I enjoy discovering new cafés, restaurants, and bars and immersing myself in the local culture. I also enjoy meeting new people and appreciate the enriching conversations and different perspectives that arise with each new encounter.
A saying I like to apply both in life and in research is "Every person that you meet knows something you don't; learn from them." by H. Jackson Brown Jr. This not only fits with my interest in new encounters but also the desire to learn and develop from these experiences.
